draws such as the AMC 30–the San Gabriel Valley's largest movie complex–and adjoining 

Outback Steakhouse. Village Oaks Park is where financial services, engineering, and related 

businesses are, including Med Legal, Land America, Stetson Engineers, and Rogers, Clem 

& Company, The Society for the Advancement of Materials and Process Engineering and the 

Radisson Suites Hotel. The area near the intersection of Arrow Highway and Grand Avenue is 

Covina's major business district including the Covina Technology Center, Ameritec, Physicians 

Formula, Inc., and Rolyn Optics

The city also enjoys being close to a variety of conveniences. The nearest major airport 

is LA/Ontario International Airport (ONT). This airport has international and domestic flights from 

Ontario and is 19 miles from the center of Covina. Another major airport is Long Beach Airport 

(LGB), which has domestic flights from Long Beach and is 31 miles from Covina. Covina’s 

hospital is the Citrus Valley Medical Center. There are also colleges and universities around 

Covina, the biggest being the California State Polytechnic University Pomona with 17,476 full 

time enrolled students about 5 miles away.

Covina has many attractions, the most popular of which is downtown Covina, which has 

antiques, apparel, art, banking, books, entertainment, furniture, gifts, hobby, jewelry, music, 

dining, salons, and sports stores. Covina also claims to have the largest movie multiplex in Los 

Angeles County. Opened in 1997, the Covina AMC 30 located at Arrow Hwy.

All of these features make Covina a great place to rent multifamily properties such as 

duplexes, triplexes, fourplexes and larger commercial apartment buildings. This vibrant, diverse 

community has great attractions, a healthy work industry, and many renters. The density of the
