The city also enjoys being close to a variety of conveniences. The closest airport is 

Bob Hope Airport, which services almost 5 million passengers each year, and it is only 18 

miles away. The hospitals nearby include Alhambra Hospital Medical Center (3 miles), Garfield 

Medical Center (5 miles), and Monterey Park Hospital (5 miles). There are also many great 

universities within 3 or 4 miles, including California Institute of Technology, Pasadena City 

College, University of Southern California, and California State University-Los Angeles.

There are many attractions in South Pasadena, including the Farmer's Market, which 

has become a tradition in the historic Mission-West District of South Pasadena on every 

Thursday from 4pm to 8pm. The original U.S. Route 66 also runs through the city. Of historical 

relevance is The Fair Oaks Pharmacy and Soda Fountain; also the Rialto Theater in downtown 

South Pasadena is a unique blend of Spanish Baroque and Egyptian stylings and was built in 

1925. It is one of the last remaining single screen cinemas in the country. 

All of these features make South Pasadena a great city to rent multifamily rental
